6.1 Sections of the original article

Introduction. A brief overview of the issue, the reason for the need for research, and its purpose.

Materials and methods. A detailed description of all aspects of the study design: criteria for the inclusion and exclusion of patients, the main and additional parameters to be evaluated, research methods, equipment used, methods and principles of grouping, methods of statistical analysis. The described research methods should ensure that the results can be reproduced. When listing the equipment used, the manufacturer and the country are indicated in parentheses.; When listing medicines and chemicals used in the course of work, their international nonproprietary (generally accepted) names, doses, and routes of administration are indicated.

If the conducted research requires it, indicate by which decision of the ethics committee it was approved (quote its conclusion, indicating the document number, date of its signing and the official name of the ethics committee), the fact that the subjects signed informed consent or the fact that the rules of bioethics (the rights of laboratory animals) were observed.

Results. They should be presented in a logical sequence and reflect the data of the study described above without references to literary sources. The results are presented clearly, in the form of short descriptions with references to graphs, tables and figures. It is preferable to start the section with a graph showing the selection of patients for analysis ("patient flow chart") in order to explain the formation of the study group.

Discussion. Identification of new and important aspects based on the results of the conducted research, analysis of possible mechanisms or interpretation of the results obtained, comparison of their own results with the data of other researchers. It is possible to include sound recommendations for clinical practice and the application of the data obtained in upcoming studies. The section should end with a statement of the strengths and weaknesses of the research conducted in comparison with existing analogues. It is necessary to avoid repeating the information from the "Introduction" section and listing the data in detail from the "Results" section.

Conclusion. It should be short and concise (no more than 1 paragraph). Summarizing the work done and the authors' hypothesis about the significance of the data obtained in the context of pathogenesis, treatment, diagnosis; prospects for using the data obtained.

According to the ICMJE recommendations, only those persons who have made significant contributions to the concept and design of research or to the collection, analysis and interpretation of data, actively participated in the preparation of the text of the article or made fundamental changes, participated in the final approval of the version of the article that is being published, and agree to assume responsibility have the right to be called an author. for the content of the article.

The first in the list of authors should be the head of the research team who was most involved in carrying out the work and preparing the manuscript. He should also be responsible for communication with the editorial board and readers (after the publication of the article). When approving the final version of the article for publication, he must make sure that the co-authors have seen and approved it.

Solely securing funding, providing laboratory materials and tools, technical editing of the manuscript, scientific advice, or general leadership of the research team do not justify inclusion in the author's group.

All members of the research team who do not meet the criteria of authorship, but who have assisted in carrying out the work and writing the article, should be listed with their consent in the "Acknowledgements" section indicating their participation. For example:

Personally identifiable information, including the names and initials of patients, hospital numbers, and medical records, should not be published in the form of written descriptions, photographs, and pedigrees unless it is of great scientific value or unless the patient (or his parent/guardian) provides written consent for publication. In this case, the authors should inform the patients whether there is a possibility that the material identifying them will be available online after publication. To publish the results of the original work, the authors must provide the editorial board with the written informed consent of the patient(s) to disseminate the information and report this in the article, placing the following indication after the list of references:
